Evangelist Tim Hill is an independent, conservative, fundamental bible teacher and Evangelist. Soon to be Graduate of Liberty Bible Institute, Liberty University, Lynchburg Va. He is the Founder of Gospel Revival Outreach Ministries, and he is dedicated to reviving the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A Message from Tim: CONFUSION! Wow! You listen to one preacher, they say one thing, you listen to another, they say the opposite! Some churches sit quietly and listen to the Word preached, other churches shout, yell and run up and down the aisles, claiming to speak in tongues. Why is this? Why has God allowed His Word to be distorted in this way? Well meaning people just throw up their hands and give up on Christianity before they even get started, and this is exactly what Satan wants you to do. The Bible is one book, but there are so many divisions, denominations and interpretations. First, it's not God's fault. He has given us His Word, which is easy to understand for some, but impossible for others. The confusion does not come from God, as the Bible tells us God is not the author of confusion. The Bible is unlike any other book in that it can only be understood by those who are Spiritually led. The problem of mis-interpretation arises when those who are not saved, therefore they are not Spiritually led, begin to read and interpret the Bible. Also, there are many who may be saved, but are not Spiritually led because they do not yield to the Holy Spirit in their life. The Holy Spirit is the One who illuminates scripture to the believer, and if a believer is not allowing the Holy Spirit to perform the work of sanctification (conforming to the image of Christ) in his or her life, you lose many blessings, one being the illumination of scripture. No one has all the answers. The Bible is such a complex book that one can never fathom all it's truths and teachings. In fact, believers will be studying God's Word throughout all eternity. But God has made certain doctrines very clear. Such as the doctrine of salvation, which is only through faith in the blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To understand the Bible:
Don't let the confusion sway you away from salvation and God's Word. Don't let fallen preachers and hypocrites deter you from the truth. There are people driving on the highway who are incompetent, dangerous and possibly on alcohol or dope, but you still drive on the highway. You don't give up and turn your license in, you get right there on the highway with them, Why? Because the highways and roadways take you where you need to be, regardless of the people on them that shouldn't be. In the same way you can't give up on Christ because of some who claim Christianity who are not truly of God and teach dangerous and false doctrines. Because the highway of salvation is where you need to be, it will take you where you need to go. When you get on the highway, you are your own person, looking out for yourself and always watching for dangerous drivers. The same goes for being on the highway of being a Christian. It is your eternity that is on the line here, and what is more important than that? Jesus said, "what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul". The Bible is a Spiritual book. Only Spiritual people can interpret it. I am certainly not a medical doctor, but I could buy some medical books, learn some medical terms, and claim to be a doctor. But without proper training in the medical field, I would likely end up hurting and maybe causing the death of people, and bringing down the good name of truly qualified members of the medical profession. A medical professional needs medical training, a Bible interpreter needs Spiritual illumination. Also be very careful about following the masses of people. Throughout Biblical history it was always the small remnant who were truly with God, while the masses fell off in the pit. Just because a church, religion or group is prospering financially doesn't mean they are of God. Some of the cults and false religions are the wealthiest on earth. Also note that most, not all, but most of television ministries are not of God and teach doctrines that are totally in error to God's Word. So if you've come to this site looking for a "tickle your ears" experience, that being saved is all about riches and blessings, you've come to the wrong place. If you've come seeking Bible truth with a desire to realize your sin and the good news of the Gospel, you've come to the right place. Salvation is for everyone, salvation is a free gift, salvation is making yourself righteous by the blood of Jesus so you are justified and considered worthy in the sight of God. This free gift from God the Creator is more valuable than anything you will ever accomplish on earth. It is the gift that's real and true in riches and blessings that are eternal, not temporary like the things of this world. What salvation is not: good works outweighing your bad, living a moral life, church attendance, church membership, saying a prayer, baptism, or coming from a Christian home. Salvation is trusting in the blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ fully and wholly, thus righteousness is imputed to you. Righteousness is a gift, it cannot be earned. Ignorance to God's word is more prevalent today that any time in history. So many people are falling for false religions and cults within Christianity. Many, who are interested in the things of God, are vacuumed into the false Charismatic and Word Faith prosperity gospel, which is not the Gospel at all, but a greed machine for so called preachers in these movements. Many of the unsaved are confused due to the conflicting doctrines of those within Christianity. The tares are definitely among the wheat. This is the mission of Gospel Revival Outreach Ministries, to teach the truth. Friends, the Gospel as simple as it is, has been twisted and confused by the powers of this world. We must get back to the basic principles of sharing the Gospel, teaching the unlearned, instructing the confused and leading the people of this world to Jesus Christ. Basic fundamentals have been rampantly dissolving away. Facts such as Jesus is God, all are sinners, all must be reconciled back to God, only through our faith in the blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ can any man be saved, Jesus is the only way, the wages of sin is death, and failure to trust in the Gospel will send a man or woman to hell when he or she dies. It doesn't matter who you are or who you think you are, all men and women who are living now or have ever lived, WILL give an account to their Creator one day. I don't need, neither do I seek Apostolic miracles or signs and wonders, because I have the power of God in a book called the Bible. Thank God for the power of the apostles in the early church. But today, we have a more tangible miracle that the world takes for granted. The perfect, complete and inspired words of God, the Mighty Creator, tells us in 1 Cor. 1:18 that the power of God is the preaching of the cross. No miracle, no sign, no wonder, not the parting of the Red Sea will save one soul, but the preaching of the cross works the miracle of salvation. The 66 books of the bible are God's infallible word. The bible is all we need to teach us of the past, and instruct us to the future. With all the religions in the world, and all the divisions inside Christianity, still the message of the bible is so clear...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt saved!
